This is my favorite basket to weave. It is two baskets in one, which makes a sturdy basket. The first inner basket is woven in a pale yellow colored dyed reed. The outer basket which in a pale rust color is woven over the inner basket. The edges are scalloped, which are the spokes that holds the weaver reeds in place. This is a small basket, but can be used for a vaiety of uses. It can be used as an earring holder as shown in the photo, necklace or bracelet holder, used to hold keys, nuts in shells, and a wrapped candy holder. Also, very narrow ribbon about 1/4 inch wide can be woven around the scalloped edge for decoration. DO NOT STORE NEAR OPEN FLAMES. It is best kept out of direct sunlight to prevent fading of color. This basket is 5 inches wide at the opening, 5 inches tall, and 3 inches at the base.
